Bon Weekend, Plus Couture Cocktails

The weekend is among us... a time for repose and relaxation.   I hope you had a most lovely first week of 2012.  Mine was spent with my husband and kids, late afternoon lunch plans, charming boutiques filled with vibrant spring fashions and beautiful days of unusually warm temperatures nearing 70 degrees, a bit too early to be planning for spring... however, a girl can dream, can't she?

Turkish Delight Martini

1/2 lemon

1.5 fluid ounces vodka

3 tsp white crème de cacao

3 tsp rose syrup

2-3 drops rosewater

garnish: drinking chocolate and rose petal {optional}

Rub the rim of an chilled elegant martini glass with the lemon or lime, then dip into a saucer of drinking chocolate. Combine the vodka, crème de cacao and rose syrup in a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Stir well, then strain into the martini glass. Add a few drops of rosewater and garnish with rose petals, if you like.  Sip and enjoy...
