I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day, if you celebrate, and a long holiday weekend {for those of us in the U.S.}.
I admit it, I'm a hopeless romantic. I love receiving flowers, jewelry, chocolates... and being swept away for a weekend rendezvous. It is one of my favourite things my husband can do. These amazing hotels and cities will sweep you away to new heights, enrapturing you into the beauty of their culture...
The winding Grand Canal and drifting gondalas make the 16th-century Palazzo Barbarigo a top choice.
My personal favourite... steps from the Champs Elysees, Hotel George V offer it's guests private terraces with stunning views overlooking the City of Light.
Hotel George V, Paris
While Europe has encaptured my heart with quaint villages, castles, and cobbled streets, nothing compares to NYC's breathtakingly beautiful Manhattan skyline.
Plaza Athenee, NYC
Neslted on a quiet cul-de-sac only steps from Buckingham Palace, the St James Hotel combines traditional British style with contemporary luxury.

St James's Hotel and Club, London
Centered amidst the gothic architecture and cobbled lanes, this opulent palace dates back to the 16th century and is filled with antique baroque furniture.
Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa, Prague
There are so many more that aren't included, I will begin to touch on them in future posts.
Wishing you a wonderful week!

A wonderful post! I've been to every hotel, except the one in Prague because I've never been to Prague! It's on my list for sure. I've been hoping to take a Christmas market cruise down the river and Prague would be the beginning or the ending. Maybe? Have a lovely week...
ReplyDeletePrague and Venice would definitely be my top choices.

ReplyDeleteOh, sweet Heaven!
ReplyDeleteThe closest I've gotten to any of these glorious places was the bar at the George V. Oh, wait...and tea in the Palm Court at the Plaza. (Almost forgot that, it's been so long!)
Venice is certainly on my 'bucket list'...and now Prague! Friends who have been there tell me the city is filled with beautiful, old buildings and the people are so charming.
